How do I get help?
It’s important to know that abortion is still legal in Maine and MaineCare (Maine’s Medicaid) and most private insurances cover abortion care. But that doesn’t cover all of us! We work closely with all the clinics in Maine and some New Hampshire clinics and provide funding directly to the clinic where you receive care. Contact one of the abortion providers listed below to make an appointment. The clinic staff will offer you SAFE funds or call us as needed.
If you are planning to have your procedure with a provider not listed below, you may still be able to get SAFE funding. Have your provider contact SAFE directly at: 207-370-9722.
